We accept a minimum of 3 kg of raw, solid bee bread comb chunks or extracted bee bread granules, dried  of honey residues.

No, we do not supply containers. Bee bread should be packed in clean, dry, food-grade plastic bags or cartons  suitable for transport and storage.

No, unfortunately we cannot accept bee bread from outside New Zealand. According to New Zealand biosecurity regulations, the import of raw bee products — including bee bread and drone brood — from overseas (including Australia) is not permitted.

This is to protect our environment and local bee populations from biosecurity risks.

We buy only raw bee bread (perga) that has been carefully dried of honey residues .

When we receive your product, we check for:

• Cleanliness and absence of honey residues
   
• No signs of mould or spoilage
   
• Appropriate, clean packaging suitable for food products
   

In some cases, we may carry out microbiological testing in our laboratory to check for mould, bacteria, or other contaminants.

We also require all beekeepers to complete a short declaration confirming that:

• The bee bread was harvested from healthy hives with no signs of AFB (American Foulbrood) or fungal diseases.
   
• The product has not been in contact with soil or any potentially contaminating surfaces.

We reserve the right to decline a purchase if the product does not meet our quality standards.
